Dr. Baxter is married with four children. Dr. Baxter has been practicing Orthopedics in the Nashville area for 27 years. He is an active member of the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in Medical Detachment of Tennessee's National Guard.
Dr. Baxter has traveled the world doing medical missions and teaching Orthopedic Surgery in underserved areas. Dr. Baxter is also trained in robotic knee replacements. Dr.Baxter traveled to Haiti one week after the devastating earthquake of 2010 performing many surgeries on severely injured people. He went back a number of times over the following 5 years. He has done mission trips to Bolivia, South Africa, and Kenya. Dr. Baxter has instructed Orthopedic Surgeons in Peru, Dominican Republic, Romania , and Ukraine.
Dr. Baxter is also an inventor and holds multiple patents for Firearm Trigger Pull Training System and Methods as well as multiple Shooting Training Devices.
